How to Use CBD Hemp

Many people still think the only method of consuming cannabis is smoking dry flower or eating pot brownies that taste like they have been soaked in bong water. Thankfully there are so many other ways of benefiting from cannabis. These options are often healthier than smoking cannabis flower and less mysterious than random edibles.

CBD Suppositories:

Drawbacks: Not the most convenient application, can cause excess discharge.

Benefits: Very effective for topical pinpointed pain, various scents and consistencies to fit your personal preferences, can apply and reapply as much as you need without risking feeling the drowsy effects of CDB, many use other natural herbs and essential oils that work synergistically with CBD.
Drawbacks: Usually only about a 6% absorption rate, may need multiple applications throughout the day, works best with additional internal source of cannabinoids.

Benefits: Super easy to use, provides consistent all over relief, added ingredients to increase bioavailability and allow CBD to enter the entire system, about 80% absorption rate (depending on the patch).
Drawbacks: Can get expensive for daily use, not always suitable for sensitive skin.
CBD-1258_HR.jpg
Benefits: Extremely relaxing, added ingredients to increase bioavailability and allow CBD to enter the entire system, provides all over relief, fun colors and scents, can soak for 30min-1hr, effects linger after leaving the tub, estimated about 80% absorption rate.
Drawbacks: Usually each bath bomb is a one time use, not ideal for daily use, cannot be used for on the go relief.

Keep in mind, when meeting a set daily serving size, ingesting the same strength of CBD in different methods can feel stronger or weaker due to the absorption rates. For example, vaping 1 mg of CBD would feel much stronger than consuming 1 mg in a capsule.

You may have noticed smoking dry flower (via pre-rolls, pipe, etc.) is not on this list. This is because here in New Mexico (where The CDB Boutique is located) we are not a hemp state. We cannot grow hemp here and dry flower cannot legally be transported across state lines, as clearly stated in The Hemp Farm act of 2014. For this reason, selling dry hemp flower would put our business and our customers at risk. At The CBD Boutique customer safety and satisfaction is top priority and we would never jeopardize your that by selling products that could potentially be problematic with our state's laws.  Furthermore, when smoking dry flower with a lighter (such as in a joint) you’re heating the cannabis over 2000℉, while cannabinoids start to degrade at about 350℉. Vaping/dabbing CBD rich hemp is a much more sensible and effective.

We hope this information will help you find a product or a mixture of products that will best fit your individual needs. We love to hear feedback, so if there is any way we can make these blogs more beneficial for you, please email us at nova@thecbdboutique.com!

CBD and Anxiety

Bills, work, chores, interactions, struggle, and strife. The backbone of life, and the necessities of achievement. Lifes daily battles for some can be tolerable but for others may cause crippling stress. This is especially common when accompanied with chronic pain/illness, social/emotional conflict, and/or other past/present trauma. Most Americans today have a high amount of responsibilities to juggle. A survey by the American Psychological Association, conducted in 2014, consisting of 3,068 adults, found that the leading cause of stress is money and that 3 in 4 adults experienced stress over finances. Other popular causes of stress in Americans include work, family responsibilities, and health concerns. Types of Stress:  Stress is normal, and everyone deals with being stressed out from time to time. It can be beneficial to stress and worry when necessary, in order to avoid unpleasant or dangerous situations, but overwhelming stress can make even c...

Food Pairing with CBD Rich Hemp

Pairing beneficial properties, not just flavors.  Food doesn’t just affect the fullness of our bellies, but also strongly contributes to our overall health and well being- hence the old saying, you are what you eat. Food will attribute to everything from the energy you have to complete daily tasks, to your mental and physical health. When using cannabis-based products, the food you consume can also have an effect on the cannabinoids in your system.  Pairing CBD rich hemp with foods , herbs, and spices can be a natural way to enhance the effectiveness of cannabinoids. You probably are familiar with some cannabinoids found in cannabis like CBD , THC, CBG etc. (if not you can learn more here: https://www.leafly.com/news/cannabis-101/list-major-cannabinoids-cannabis-effects ) What you might not know is that cannabinoids, and other compounds found in cannabis, are also present in other plants we consume quite frequently. Cannabis is, after all, just another helpf...

Tattooing and CBD

The buzz. The ink. Then the needles. If you are a proud owner of skin that has been inked, you know the process. Cleaning, shaving, stenciling, all leading up to the first initial prick of the needle that penetrates your skin. Then, countless additional pricks all over your body, only to go home and tend to your bloody, peeling work of art. Tattoos are a beautiful way to express ourselves and celebrate our individuality. The commitment to the altered pigment on your body can mean much more than just changing your aesthetic appeal. But there is no denying how much it hurts to earn those marks. With a good tattoo artist, the “deep tissue massage” is worth it all in the end, but it’s only human nature to question the choices that have led you to endure raw pain for hours on end. You’ve probably also thought about ways to make the experience and/or healing process less miserable. The thought of using alcohol to dull your nerves and pain from the tattoo might have tempted you, ...
